My Princess Tutu Skit; Backing Video - Supanova 2009

So, Shiirahime over at youtube suggested that I share this here. I did link to it two posts ago, but I figure I may make a separate entry for it as well.

This was my backing video for my Princess Tutu cosplay skit at Supanova Melbourne. I won third prize in the costume contest! We were only allowed to do individual skits, but if I was going to cosplay as Princess Tutu, then I wanted to at least have an argument with Fakir. This was my way of getting around the problem! This video was played in the background while I was on stage acting out Tutu's role arguing with my on screen Fakir. Sadly, the very last segment of the video didn't get played at the contest, but that's okay because you can see it here!
The skit was written by myself (with the exception of the "underwear in the freezer" line).
I have to thank my very, very talented friends for helping me with the voices.
They are:

Eleanor (TheOriginalMe) as the voice of Princess Tutu
and
Carly (Androx17) as Fakir and Mytho

The editing is not great. It was edited in about 2 to 3 hours the night before the contest. As the only entrant with an accompanying video, I wasn't exactly going to be judged on editing ability. Sorry! I really only needed this for the dialogue anyway!

Ah, enjoy!

<lj-embed id="65" />

Okay, first off, in response to the new Tsubasa spoilers...AHH HOLY JKPOLSNCHJDJ!!!!

Now that that is out of that way.

Supanova! I'm going to copy Di here and make a list of pro's and con's from the weekend:

Pro's:

- Sian and I winning second and third place in the cosplay contest! <strike>Admittedly there were only five contestants, but they were all very good!</strike>. Sian, you looked AMAZING as Miss Edel! Eleanor also looked incredible as Fakir and, on Sunday, Zuka.
- Getting invited to dinner by the Clow Cards. Yes, really.
- Getting in the paper.
- Meeting Vic Mignogna.
- Seeing Fullmetal Fantasy.

Con's:

- Seeing a heap of embarrassing cosplay photos and videos of myself -_- I don't care how accurate that wig was, it was not flattering! Towards the end of the day, I took the wig off because it was getting too hot.

I got about three times as many photo requests without it!

Also, there were a lot of photos of me showing my teeth. There's a reason I pose for photos with my mouth closed. It's just better that way!

- They cut my cosplay video short. They stopped the video after I went off-stage, but it still had about thirty seconds left. Included in those thirty seconds was the punch line. Ah well, youtube will have to do. EDIT: Speaking of which: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4ttoPdmzxg

- The Justin Chon panel. I went there more out of curiosity than anything else. He was in the Twilight film for maybe two minutes, so I had to wonder just what on earth he planned to talk about for an hour long panel. The answer was; nothing. Ahh, he didn't do too bad, but some of the fans were giving him the creeps. I got bored after about 15 minutes and left.

Me and Vic:

Sian and Vic:

...I love that photo.

Kinglake - Feb 11 2009

I actually got into Kinglake yesterday using my licence, which still has my Kinglake address on it. Mum and I had to sneak out of the house early in the morning because Dad didn't want us to go. He had this glorified idea not only that the town would still be on fire but that there would be bodies "still lying in the paddocks". Yeah, no Dad.
I'm so glad we did get up the mountain. I was so relieved to see my brother and one of my aunties. My Mum was in tears. We had to sneak up a few back roads to get to my aunties house since the road to her farm is blocked. Having been locals for so many years, we had the upper hand as we knew of at least two back roads that the cops weren't aware of! She was so surprised and so relieved to see my Mum!
It's actually not as bad as I imagined it would be, although I understand that a lot of cleaning up has been done since Saturday. I would say that about 40% to 50% of the town is still intact.
The best part was being able to ring up a friend of mine who had left the town on Saturday and tell her that her house was still standing and waiting for her to come back home!
Now we just need to arrange to see our other friends and relatives.

Here is my brothers house then:

...and now:

...as you can see, his work truck amazingly survived. He was even able to make jokes about it. His friend and fellow fire fighter Aaron was at the house with us. He was climbing over the truck and he asked Ben "Hey, do you have any keys for this thing?". Ben then joked "Yeah, hold on mate, they're just in the house. I'll just go and get them!".

My trampoline :(

Sadly, my brothers neighbours from behind his house did not survive. Their car is still on the road there. My brother checked the car on Sunday and didn't see anything. Investigators later checked the same car and found the two bodies. That's how badly burned these victims were.

I have many more photos, including the remains of my old house, that I will upload later.

Kinglake - My brother Andrew's take on things

This is a journal entry written by my brother Andrew about my eldest brother, Ben. Andrew is a writer by trade and as such is much better at putting this tragedy into words than I'll ever be. Please take some time to read what he has to say:

"Kinglake

I barely recognise the streets on TV. They're black and burned away.

I lived in Kinglake with my family till I was twenty three. My parents, luckily, moved away two years ago. But my brother stayed. He lost his house. My brother is one of the senior members of the Kinglake CFA. Earlier in the day, they were called to assist the brigade at Strathewen with a bushfire. At that stage, there was no legitimate threat to Kinglake. My brother has committed most of his free time to being a fire fighter. He's always wanted to do it full time but has had trouble because he has a history of asthma. He worked for the Department of Sustainability and Environment, fighting forest fires and controlled burns in their helicopter team a few years back. He has become an expert at managing bushfires. But he wasn't home when the wind changed.

Reports from friends, former neighbours, relatives, all say the same thing, that it happened so fast. You can't even guage it. It came so quick. My old neighbour was on the phone to her daughter, who was warning her to get out. She went outside, looked at the hills in the distance, the hint of smoke, and she figured they were safe. In literally ten minutes, she was running up the road away from the flames.

My aunty freed her horses. Not sure if they've saved them all yet. My grandma watered down her roof and stayed till they had to go. Her house was spared.

My brother is still out fighting the Kinglake fire. He's been working virtually non-stop since it began. I think he's trying to keep busy so he doesn't have to stop and think about it. About the town being burned to nothing. The dead bodies in the paddocks. In the burnt out cars along the roads. About his house, his stuff, all gone. And the one thing that always stands out for me with my brother Ben is that he's a good person. He would do anything to help out anyone. He has always put himself out to assist others. His entire life is dedicated to taking care of his young daughter and helping the local CFA. He would sacrifice his personal happiness to achieve this, without any hesitation. Yet he's the one who gets the bad deal. It's always such a confusing equation, in that you want for good things to happen to good people. It saddens me that this is not the case.

To the many families affected, many of whom I know, my sympathies go out to you all. I am driving down to Melbourne tomorrow to see if I can help in any way. I don't think I'll be able to do anything much, but just to help my family. Just to be close enough to be able to assist if necessary.

To my brother, still out, still fighting. I see the efforts you go to. The ways you push yourself to make other people happy. I hate seeing it at times. But you're a better person than I could ever hope to be.

The world is a better place for having you in it."

You can't put it much better than that.

"Kinglake doesn't exist anymore"

My hometown is gone.

I can't believe what's happened. I'm just in shock. I had lived my whole life in Kinglake up until a year ago. It is such a small and isolated community so everyone, and I mean everyone, knew each other. God, I'm still related to half of the town with my grandma, aunties, cousins and my brother all still living there.
Miraculously, all of my family are safe. Most of them took refuge in the Kinglake fire station along with 400 others, as the town burnt down around them. There was no warning. There were no fire trucks around. My brother has lost his house and everything he owns. He is still in Kinglake now, helping to clean up. We got through to him yesterday and offered to come and help. He told us "You don't want to be here. You don't need to see this".

They are now saying that there are 134 dead, but I can tell you for sure that the number is higher. All my friends and relatives were calling me during the fire. Each of them told me of the bodies around town. I knew so many of the dead, including some of my students from Kinglake West Primary School. Many died in cars attempting to escape. Others died in and around their homes. I heard of bodies laying in front yards and in paddocks. There was nothing anyone could do.

Countless friends have lost their homes, including my good friends the Pascoe's, a family of 8 who I have known since I was four. They lost their house in Kinglake West, their sisters house and their mothers house in Flowerdale. They have little money and nowhere to go. Then there was Wendy, the Morgan's, the Bebbingtons, the Egans; so many family friends without homes.

Today, I travelled out to the Whittlesea relief centre which is about five minutes from where I am, to see these families and others. As soon as I arrived, I could see people I grew up with everywhere. One of which was a father of one of my best friends. When he saw me, he just hugged me. He has no money and lost everything, including all the photos of his son and my classmate, Chris, who died in 2007. After him, I caught up with the Morgan's, more schoolmates and other people from Kinglake West Primary School.

I found Jacqui Pascoe. We have been close friends since we were four and I've always known Jacqui to be happy and talkative. Today, she barely spoke. The weight of what little she did say hadn't hit me until after I came home. I was talking with someone about how the police will want to identify any bodies before they let anyone into town. It was then that Jacqui spoke up to say "The only way they could identify those bodies would be dental records. Their teeth didn't burn". Stupidly, I didn't even think of why she would know such a thing until I left her later. When I walked with her as she tried to find a T-shirt amoungst the donations, she was in a daze. All she said was "I still haven't realised that I don't have a house anymore. Everything I own is gone". I didn't know what I could do or say to help her. One of the volunteers noticed Jacqui struggling and helped her by assembling a bag of toiletries for her.

Those are just a few of the many stories I can tell you. Other stories I have heard from relatives and friends include countless accounts of body sightings, incredibly close escapes, rescues and sadly those that didn't make it.

I just can't believe it. I just feel as though I'm going to wake up and I'll be able to go back home, back to Kinglake as it was, as it still is in my mind. I know the whole town like the back of my hand, every house and every road. I grew up walking freely around the streets and shops with friends. To have it all go like this is just unbelievable. I feel this immense guilt for not being there on Saturday. Why Kinglake? Why all my friends and family? Why am I safe when they have lost everything?
To hear the name of the town being mentioned every five minutes on the radio is surreal. Usually no one even knows what I'm talking about when I tell them "I'm from Kinglake".
Now everyone knows the town, but for all the wrong reasons.
As friends of mine said today, one thing is for certain; we'll never be asked "Kinglake? Where's that?" ever again.

God, I haven't even mentioned the Buchanan children yet! Neeve, aged 9 and MacKenzie, aged I think 15 now, have both died along with their uncle. Their father, Ross, was inconsolable. He had taken them from their home in Kinglake West to Kinglake because he thought they would be safer there. I knew both children well, particularly Neeve. She was one of the students at the primary school who I had weekly lessons with to help with her reading. I also helped her in the class every other day. I taught her the letter S! To even think that she is gone now is almost impossible for me. I found a heap of my photos from my time at the school. I remember on my last day, Neeve kept jumping in front of the camera whenever I was taking photos. I actually had to tell her to move out of the way to let me take photos of some of the other children! As a result, I have more photos of Neeve than I do of anyone else. She was always so happy and full of hugs. She was in prep then, and the smallest girl in the school. We will all miss her and her brother terribly. Others who have died include Reg Evans and the Chambers girls.

^Neeve is the girl at the top of the ladder. I have better photos of her, but this is one of the only ones that I have managed to upload at this time. I only wish that I had done more to stay in contact with all the students from KWPS since I left. I spotted a few more of them today at the relief centre. I can't tell you how happy that made me.

I'll probably be making more posts about this in the next few days but I'm still extremely shaken up. It's going to take a long time for me to gather my thoughts.

It almost kills me to say this but, R.I.P Kinglake.

So many people I know have died. How anyone within Victoria is even able to continue living their lives right now as though nothing has happened, I don't know and I don't understand. All I can think about is Kinglake, I have barely slept since Saturday. So many of my relatives are still up there, too afraid to leave their homes for fear that they won't be allowed back into the town. Coming from that to then read about people on facebook complaining that it was "so hot they had to keep a fan on all day" is just insane. Do they not realise what is happening here? Entire families have been burned alive in Kinglake and you're worried about how the heat is effecting you? I know, I know, I am very close to the tragic situation in Kinglake so it's going to effect me more than others but seeing that, seeing other people whose lives haven't been effected by this in the slightest and are complaining about such petty things is just very hard for me right now.

Breaking Dawn Post - This Book Is Shit, Isn't It?

Finally finished reading Breaking Dawn last night. Why did it take me so long? To be honest, I found that I had to force myself to read it. Sorry! I mean, I know the books are cheesy, but at least I enjoyed the first three. As I've said previously, they were once a guilty pleasure. Great works of literature? Hell no, but they were once a bit of fun. No more. BD was just...I don't know. Barf-inducing? I'm just gonna go with bad.

The book started out predictably enough. Bella was freaking out about telling Charlie and Renee about her engagement at 18 to the sparkly Edward Cullen. I was really looking forward to seeing Charlie go ballistic with this news, but he didn't really care. Neither did Renee. Gee, um, that's a let down! PREDICTABLY CHEESY WEDDING! I'm only a few chapters in, and I already feel like I'm about to gag.
Aw crap, no Jacob-imprinting at the wedding. Damn it, I thought for sure that he was going to imprint on one of Bella's long lost relatives, or her mother.
This is where the book became particularly difficult for me to read.
Why?
Because Bella is acting like even more of a whiny ass Mary Sue than usual! Here is a summary of her entire inner monologue for the first third of the book:

"Oh wow, Edward is pretty. But I'm insecure. But Edward is pretty. But I'm still so insecure, etc, etc".

Yeah, you get the picture. PLEASE STOP USING THE WORD "ANGELIC" TO DESCRIBE YOUR HUSBAND! HE'S ATTRACTIVE, WE FUCKING GET IT ALREADY! While I'm at it, can somebody please tell Stephenie to stop abusing the word "and"? IT'S CALLED A COMMA BITCH! FUCKING USE IT!

Oh and Jacob shows up, but I doubt that anyone was surprised by that. Bella continues to cockblock him around, letting slip her and Edward's plans for the honeymoon. This makes Jacob snap. Conveniently, nobody notices.

Island Esme Honeymoon times. I have to give Stephenie Meyer some credit here.

No really.

She managed to break out of fanfiction mode for long enough to give Bella some time to actually fear what was about to happen instead of having that continuous sappy monologue crap.
Oh wait, I spoke too soon. Sex ensues...or at least I think it did. I don't know, something about a fade out and pillows. Bah, who cares, this book is shit anyway. Cut to the morning after and Bella is covered in bruises and some feathers from the night before. Well, you can't blame Edward. He had been holding that in for 109 years.

Just enough time to stick in a few days of wankery before Edward delivers some pity sex. Bella's still insecure and eating lots of eggs. And chicken. And vomiting. Oh, btw, she's inexplicably pregnant. I would have been shocked by this if it hadn't already been spoilt for me. I think this is an example of Stephenie Meyer's religious views interfering with the storyline again. Not only did she have Edward and Bella wait until after marriage to get it on but now she is breaking her own canon to create mutant half-vampire babies, because you can't have sex without having babies! I say mutant babies because it's only been a week or two and Bella already has a baby bump O.o

*yawn*

What? Oh, where was I?

Now switch to Jacob's point of view.

God, after reading Eclipse, I fucking hate Jacob. This is sure to be a pain in the ass to get through.
...
...
...actually, this is surprisingly fun.
Jacob's perspective is really refreshing after all of Bella's wishy-washy bullshit. A month has passed since the wedding when Jacob pays a visit to the Cullen's house to find Bella already heavily pregnant. She's also dying. He freaks out, naturally, and returns to the other werewolves. Sam learns of the pregnancy and decides that waiting is for losers so him and all the other werewolves should just move in and kill Bella now before the thing has a chance to be born.
Jacob protests and starts his own mini werewolf clan with Seth and eventually Leah. Not much else happens here, or if it did, I wasn't paying attention. The whole love-triangle-thing does come into play a few times, but thankfully everybody is pretty much sick of Bella's shit so it doesn't get much attention. Also, she has taken to drinking blood because that's what the baby wants.

Oh, here's the kicker.

Jacob asks Bella about potential baby names. Her first option, since she is convinced the baby will be a boy is "Edward Jacob". Fair enough. What if it's a girl?

“I kicked a few things around. Playing with Renée and Esme. I was thinking . . . Ruh-nez-may.”

“Ruhnezmay?”

“R-e-n-e-s-m-e-e. Too weird?”

OH.
FUCK.
OFF!

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE SHITTING ME! No wonder the baby is starting to attack her from the inside.

I can't help but notice that Jacob is also angsting a lot about not having imprinted yet. Okay, so that's foreshadowing that he is obviously going to imprint during this book but the question is, who with? Hm, he's already seen all the possible choices at least once in the book already. Wait! Oh no. No no Stephenie, you can't honestly be planning that!.

"It was not just a scream, it was a blood-curdling shriek of agony. The horrifying sound cut off with a gurgle, and her eyes rolled back into her head. Her body twitched, arched in Rosalie’s arms, and then Bella vomited a fountain of blood.

OH FINALLY SOMETHING IS HAPPENING! THAT'S MORE LIKE IT!

So here comes the birth.
The bloody, graphic, impromptu birth with no Dr.Carlisle around for support.
Yay? Honestly, as if Carlisle would leave home that close to the birth? They didn't know exactly when Bella would go into labour, but they knew it would be within the next 4 days at least. So, Edward had to improvise a caesarean, BY RIPPING INTO BELLA'S NAKED WOMB WITH HIS FUCKING TEETH! Holy shit, Stephenie Meyer has actually gone insane. Bella's dying on the table, naked and unconscious with blood spraying everywhere.
What do we do?
Vampire time!! Edward saves Bella's life by injecting her with his venom which he conveniently has ready in a nearby syringe.
Meanwhile, Rosalie takes the new born baby girl downstairs. Jacob, after seeing Bella's mangled bloody corpse, attempts to kill the newborn in a fit of rage. Just as he is about to move in for the kill, his eyes meet with Re-Renesmee's (seriously, giving a child a name like that is practically a form of abuse) AND BAM! HE IMPRINTS ON HER! CALLED IT!!
You know, I really came to like Jacob through this part of the book. He's not as wanky and annoying as I initially thought.
He's actually kinda...cool.

Back to Bella's perspective. Oh fuck, there's still a buttload of book left to go. *sigh*.
After two days of burning, Bella wakes up to discover that she is a talented, beautiful vampire that somehow managed to skip all that uncontrollable newborn stuff. Yeah, that's right. She is perfectly under control. Honestly, who didn't see that coming? She's stronger than the others too. OF COURSE SHE FUCKING IS!!!
Everything is miraculously better than when she was human: "My human heart just couldn't hold enough love (compared to her dead vampire heart)" - OH, SHUT UP BELLA! JUST SHUT UP!
This is the part where I really began to lose interest. Everything from here on was just...too easy. Oh, btw, Renesmee is aging insanely fast. Within just a few weeks, she can talk, walk and even read. JUST KILL IT ALREADY, THAT THING IS CREEPING ME OUT! She also has the ability to show anybody what she is thinking through touch. Being half vampire, half human, she has a heartbeat and she sleeps.
Jacob never leaves her side. It takes Bella a while to catch onto just why this is. Finally, she figures it out and lunges for Jacob's throat. My respect for Bella suddenly shot up.
Something about sex and hunting...the Cullen's give Bella and Edward their own house which, surprise surprise, is just as pretty and breathtaking as everything else *rolls eyes*.
More sex...oh, here we are! Charlie's coming over! WAIT, WHAT THE FUCK?!
Jacob you fucking moron, what'd you do that for?!
Oh and also, Jacob decided it would be a good idea to transform right in front of Charlie. Yeah, don't ease him in slowly or nothing.
Now Bella has to pretend to still be alive and not eat her father. Of course she won't because her magical Mary Sue powers won't allow it, but still!
Charlie is naturally creeped out, not only by his suddenly undead daughter, but also his instant freakish grand-daughter. So he decides to watch the football instead *shrugs*.

Uhm, let's see, some other junk happens, blah blah blah, the baby can inexplicably leap from the ground and kill an elk before violently sucking out all it's blood, yadda yadda yadda...ooh, here's something! The Volturri are coming to town!

Irina from the Denali clan came and spotted Renesmee. Assuming that the Cullen's had committed an unforgivable sin and vamped a human baby, she went and dobbed them into the authorities. Now the Volturri are coming to kill them all, except Alice and Jasper who decided to run. Hooray! Now it's time to gather all the vampires they can find to come and witness the truth about Renesmee before the Volturri arrive. If things don't go to plan, and they probably won't, all the Cullen's and their witnesses will be slaughtered. They all agree to hang around anyway? Oh yeah sure, whatever.

You know what, I'm just going to skim through the rest. Bella learns to project her magic brain immunity to anyone else at will. There was a lot of snow. A bit more sex. The Volturri took their sweet ass time to arrive, and when they finally did, they begin to look for any excuse to kill the Cullens. Because they can.
OH WILL THIS BOOK EVER END?! The Volturri keep talking about god only knows what, and only kill one vampire. One. The others consider themselves as good as dead when the Volturri refuse to give up on their goal of killing everyone in sight for the hell of it, despite the Cullen's proving beyond a doubt that Renesmee is not an immortal child. Time to say your goodbyes.

Edward (to Jacob): “Goodbye, Jacob, my brother... my son.”

Okay, I may have teared up at that point. So, the fight's about to start, yeah? ...yeah? Oh you've got to be kidding me! Turns out that Bella used her shield power to stop any of the Volturri from mentally probing the vampires on her team. This delayed the start of the battle and then, right before the shit is finally about to hit the fan, Alice shows up with another half vampire, half human called...Nahuel?. I think that was his name. Anyway, Nahuel is 150 years old and not a threat to anyone therefore ruining the Volturri's excuse that Renesmee has to be destroyed for the risk she "might" pose in the future.
So, that's it? No battle? Nothing? Oh, whatever.
The Volturri piss off somewhere, cursing under their breath and spitting on the Cullen's yard. It's revealed that Renesmee will be full grown in 7 years time. Hooray for Jacob I guess? More sex. Everybody lives happily ever after.

They all drink lemonade.

The End.

Augh, I gotta go to bed. Happy birthday to Al and happy braces-be-gone day to Carly!! Hooray!

<lj-embed id="39" />

...some of you may be experiencing deja vu. I should really just listen to Eleanor from now on as this was another one of her suggestions.

...oh, but I did make an effects entry. I had it up on youtube for about 6 hours before I got too embarrassed by it and set it to private view only. I really made the wrong choice when it came to audio...and video...and editing...and EVERYTHING!

The last 15 seconds weren't too bad though

EDIT: Alright, okay, so here is the real effects entry.

<lj-embed id="46" />

...well, I did say it sucked! Sad thing is, if I had have entered this I would have got through to the next round! Oh, the irony.

Taking Over Me - Labyrinth Music Video - Sarah and Jareth

OH I WANT TO KILL SOMETHING!! You see, this is my second round entry to the "So you think you can vid" contest. I only found out that I had made it to round two about a week or so ago. That's my own fault for not checking! So, I was placed in the Evanescence group. I was okay with that, since I already had some Evanescence video ideas in mind. Originally, I was planning to make a Lord of the Rings video using "Hello" as kind of a character profile video for Eowyn. Simple enough, but here's the problem. After days of encoding the footage, I was still only half way through movie three. Big problem! Time to find a new idea! Huh...which one...?
Hannibal and Clarice to "Lithium"?
Hannibal to "Like You"?
Hmm, I'll go with the Lithium idea!
...
...
...this is not working! That's it, new idea time again!
Um...uh...I kinda like "Taking Over Me". Anyone got any Taking Over Me ideas?
Eleanor randomly suggests Labyrinth.
Well that's...something.
Maybe I can work with that!

One day left before the deadline.
...
...aww, to hell with it!
I guess I have no choice but to make Labyrinth metal!

So, as you can tell, I ended up making this in one day. Half a day. Three quarters of a day! I'm still not sure how that happened. I didn't want to make this. I still don't want to make this.

*shrugs* make of it what you will.

Song: "Taking Over Me" by Evanescence
Movie: Labyrinth
Download: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UBA57HNX
Youtube: http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=1UqHbN1lDaA

<lj-embed id="36" />

It's now 3:35am (Australian Time) and freezing cold so I think I'm going to go grab myself some soup while I'm waiting for this junk to load.
You want to know the sad thing? The edits I made for my Hannibal/Clarice video took me forever! I was trying to keep it book canon, so I had manipulated clips from other films and even created a fake news report on Clarice's disappearance all of which I was really proud of, but I just couldn't fill the whole song. Such a shame, I was really proud of those manips :(

3:53am and rendering has just finished. I have something to admit, I still haven't watched this video yet, but I'm tired, so I'm just going to upload it as it is and hope for the best.

EDIT: I didn't get that soup, but I did find some Doritos. Hooray for 4:30am corn chips!

EDIT: 4:47am and the Doritos were bad. Finally posted this as a video response and I watched it for the first time. Now I know why I didn't want to watch it!
I especially like the part where there is a giant chunk from the middle missing.
Oh but check out those last two seconds! Those are pretty rad, don't ya think? Isolated colour FTW!
Anyway, it's up now, so to hell with this.

...I don't suppose anyone wants a downloadable copy do they?

EDIT: Download added.

Fun with Fimo

Thanks to Jodie, I've recently gotten into making things with Fimo Modelling Clay. Tried my hand at making two things from Cardcaptor Sakura; The Star Key and Sakura's hair clip from Movie One:

The hair clip isn't exact, but it's close enough. I've actually worn it a few times.
As for the key...yeah, it's not great, but it was my first time using Fimo. Maybe I'll try again once I buy some more paint.

I came home from work on Saturday to find Mum with this on her lap:

Her name is Bonnie and she is a cute, wastefully happy one year old Miniature Fox Terrier my parents adopted from a shelter in Glen Waverley.
Can't say I was expecting that, I mean there had been talk of us getting a new dog, but not that soon. I'm still getting over Bessy's death, so it's a little early for me.

Lately I have been thinking about starting a video blog, either on a new youtube account or on facebook. Question is, what do people want to see in a video blog? Is it worth it or is livejournal enough?
Really, I just want to have more fun with video editing. I'm not all that comfortable in front of the camera, just behind it, so I'm not sure I even want to do this yet!

Lastly, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JODIE AND KATIE!!
